To one of your our customers, a leading global company with focus on pharmaceuticals as well as medical devices within the ophthalmology area, we are now searching for a National Surgical Partner for the Nordics with initial focus on Sweden.
What is the role about and who are you?
National Surgical Partner is a brand new role introduced to leverage the huge potential of an innovative , new technology, so it is mandatory that you be a solutions-focused individual with a pro-active commercial mindset and a strong ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving market landscape.
Entrepreneur by nature, real team player before all, the National Surgical Partner will be initially responsible to “seed and nurture” the market by creating awareness about the company´s surgical devices and building relationships with the most relevant key opinion leaders and hospitals across the Nordics. You will ensure sustainable adoption of the new product among carefully selected users and promoters, by providing state-of-the-art surgical training and appropriate follow-up.
The “ideal” candidate has solid surgical ophthalmology experience. You like to act in an operating room (OR) environment and is able to influence surgeons’ preference. In addition to strong technical / clinical skills, the National Surgical Partner will be able to maneuver in the complex environment of hospitals and clinics. Finally , recognized as commercially astute, your strategic sales skill – associated to your human being – will make you a unique candidate and the company will consider you as such.
Essential skills as a National Surgical Partner
(1) Communication/people skills: Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply… you must be capable to listen twice more as you speak.
(2) Organizational skills/multi-tasking ability: A good account manager should have the luck of a magician, dexterity of a juggler and instinct of a hunter. A juggler because you need to juggle multiple accounts, contacts and initiatives effortlessly and this is only possible if you have discipline, focus and the ability to manage time well.
(3) Relationship (trust) Building : Trust is the most essential ingredient in effective communication: it’s the foundational principle that holds all relationships.
(4) Passion : People don’t buy what you do: they buy why you do it.
