Purpose of the position:
The purpose of the role as Global Brand Communications Director is to lead the development of Sobi’s global external brand communications strategy and execution, in close alignment and partnership with the cross functional leadership and brand leadership teams in the business units – Haemophilia and Specialty Care. The role of Brand Communications Director is to ensure that all communications regarding Sobi’s products and strategies within the therapeutic areas are consistent, long-term and value creating and aligned to brand strategies and in line with corporate communications policies and operating standards.
This role as Global Brand Communications Director will lead day to day communications activities in addition to building a long term communication strategy aligned to brand strategy, and support country based execution of key communications tactics. The role will be key player in cross-functional teams, supporting Commercial, Medical, Patient Access and Community Engagement teams.
Education/Learning Experience/Work Experience: Required: University degree level education – Communications/business or medical/science based. Recent haemophilia/orphan/rare disease experience in a communications, medical-marketing or marketing role for a minimum of 5 years. Brand management experience minimum 3 years.
Skills/Knowledge/Languages: Required: Multi stakeholder project management and leadership experience, delivering results on time and within budget. Excellent writing skills. Creative ability to devise communication strategies. Understanding the regulations governing pharmaceuticals. Fluency in written and spoken English and Swedish. Desired: Strong oral communication and leadership skills. Experience of supporting a global organisation using a variety of communications approaches. Understanding the regulations governing a listed company.
