About the job

The Healthcare System Partner (HSP) is a key role in the Roche Sweden organization, with a high focus on partnering with stakeholders in the regions to enable access, shape system challenges and hurdles, drive health system innovation and unlock possibilities to deliver value for the regional ecosystem and society. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners to ensure the readiness of key deliverables like access and funding as well as relevant policy needs across the regions. Additionally, the role requires understanding of how to ensure national and regional market access across the portfolio. By doing so the HSP will be directly accountable to deliver better outcomes for health care, their community, the ecosystem and the organization, faster.

The HSP is the regional, and in some cases national, face of Roche and works closely with regional stakeholders. Primary point of contact for: access stakeholders, system-level healthcare stakeholders, such as politicians, regional payers and civil servants.

The HSP works on an enterprise level and is a connector between the ecosystem’s needs and our policy and business priorities, through an Enterprise perspective to indirectly impacting outcomes for patients:

Access — Policy — Strategic collaboration

  • Enable access to Roche solutions without unnecessarily delay and limit hurdles on regional level based on national decisions/recommendations
  • Shape the system for our future pipeline, shape and collaborate around healthcare policy priorities, life science strategy and precision medicine
  • Identifies shared purpose and value, co-creates solutions and co-implements them across regional ecosystems, indirectly impacting outcomes for patients.
  • Strong regional network with key politicians and civil servants (the regions mainly in scope Östergötland, Jönköping and Kalmar)
  • Impact: Value in this role is defined as enabling patient access and shaping the regional ecosystem to create better health outcomes for more patients faster in a sustainable way to society.

Accountabilities and responsibilities

  • It is on an Enterprise level/Roche AB working closely to Pharma association (LIF) and purposeful with Roche Diagnostic
  • The HSP partnering with stakeholders in the regions to enable access, shape system challenges, drive health system innovation and unlock possibilities to deliver value for the regional ecosystem and society
  • Enabling Roche organization and its priorities
  • Accountable for Regional access stakeholder management for Roche´s present portfolio (when relevant), future pipeline and services
  • It acts as a strong trusted partner and the primary point of contact for defined regional stakeholders
  • Identifying, mapping, engaging and managing regional ecosystem and its stakeholders
  • Regional access stakeholder (could sometimes be national) management to enable access for products and services
  • Regional policy stakeholder management to shape the regional ecosystem
  • It is embedded in the Regional ecosystem(s) and closely interlinked to the National payer system
  • National/Regional horizon scanning meeting and early assessment report
  • Sharing stakeholder needs internally, pulling in expertise and resources locally and from the network, and driving solutions that deliver outcomes, including contributing to and/or leading Regional Healthcare Impact Plan topics

Skills and qualifications

  • Deep understanding of the health system (national/regional), strong access and policy competences
  • Exceptional understanding of the regional ecosystem and the ability to identify win win project enabling Roche organization and its priorities
  • Experience from regional/national access
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills, outstanding customer centricity to contribute to value/impact itself, not just facilitate and coordinate
  • Strong networking, experience leading cross-functional teams, communications abilities, understanding how to influence external networks to drive long term Roche priorities
  • Strong business acumen, strategic and enabling mindset to leverage to the internal and external network to create value, sharing back and scaling
  • Strong regional network with key politicians and civil servants (the regions mainly in scope Östergötland, Jönköping and Kalmar)
  • Practical understanding of digital innovation methodologies

Formal qualifications

  • University degree (scientific, economic, or business degree) or an advanced degree in Life science and/or MBA
  • Demonstrated experience with leading project scope and driving delivery in an evolving environment requiring proactivity and effective problem-solving and prioritization when faced with challenges
  • Demonstrated strong collaboration skills and excellent communication skills
  • Good HTA knowledge
  • Experience from close collaboration with the regions or alternatively working for the regions with a positive track record
  • Excellent Swedish and English, both written and verbal
