In partnership with H&P Search & Interim, Ipsen is now recruiting a Nordic Sales Manager to the successful oncology team with upcoming launch.

The role

This role is an opportunity for a motivated person with previous experience within sales management. As a Nordic Sales Manager in Ipsen you will be achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team. Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure it’s strong presence. Managing recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives. As a Nordic Sales Manager, you will be a vital part of the oncology team and you will be reporting to Business Unit Head. We are looking for a person with high social competence, who is a self-propelled team player with an analytical mindset.

Primary responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of a sales strategy with the region
  • Work cross functionally within business unit to develop synergistic environment, create opportunities and build successful organization in order to ensure excellence in execution of all brand related activities.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the Marketing and Market Access departments to ensure alignment of messages, organization of events, development of relevant sales material and region-specific tactics.
  • Drive recognition and understanding of the changing healthcare landscape and strategically adapt the field organization to succeed in this environment
  • Lead the sales team to deliver and to exceed targets, motivate team members and build a high performing team
  • Ensure the team executes the strategy and monitor team performance against the strategy and the operational plan and continuously follow up and deliver the agreed KPIs
  • Lead, motivate and coach the sales team through sales meetings, internal communication, field visits and regular business reviews creating a positive team environment including regular face to face coaching
  • Contribute to annual budget, strategic plan and operating plan as member of core Brand Team
  • Collect broad market knowledge and proactively share business intelligence information

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated success in the specialty care pharma marketplace
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in a Pharmaceutical industry environment
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead teams and manage people
  • Demonstrated strong capability in leading teams in account management, superior selling competencies and proven sales performance track record of meeting or exceeding goals in a specialist/hospital or similarly complex environment
  • Proven ability to analyze market dynamics and sales evolution to make sound commercial decisions and to deliver results
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully influencing a cross functional team of people
  • Scientific/Marketing/Business studies at Tertiary level at a postgraduate level
  • Excellent sales-, verbal-, written-, interpersonal- and influencing skills
  • Must be proficient in the following applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook
  • Fluent in either Swedish, Danish or Norwegian and a good level of proficiency (written and verbal) in English required
