This is what you will do:

The Senior Market Access Manager in the Nordics will be responsible to build and maintain strong relationships with Nordics payers, national organizations, health care insurers, hospital pharmacists, pharmacy groups, heads of clinics and other relevant stakeholders, needed for building a commercial market access strategy and execution for new and existing products. The incumbent will be responsible for managing proposals for commercial policy and contract negotiations with policy makers, payers, hospitals, and pharmacy groups. You will be working across the Alexion portfolio of in-market and pipeline products (including Koselugo®) in close collaboration with the local cross functional team, as well as the Nordics and Central & Northern Europe area (CENE) Market Access and International Value & Access Teams to develop and execute the local market access strategy, support the preparation of the scientific and economic dossiers for relevant submissions, prepare pricing discussions, as well as meet and negotiate with relevant stakeholders. You should also ensure alignment with your local AstraZeneca market access and policy colleagues to ensure speaking with one voice across the organisation, internally as well as externally.

You will be responsible for:

Koselugo responsibilities (20%)

  • Preparation and submission of reimbursement dossier in the Nordic Markets
  • Strong alignment with cross-functional team to support Koselugo launch strategy across Nordic markets
  • Alignment and close collaboration with Koselugo value & access international and global teams to ensure proper execution of market access strategy at local level

Rest of responsibilities (80%)

  • Together with the market access & policy director Nordics gather and communicate the payer needs across the five markets (FI, DK, NO, SE, IS), help coordinate the market access strategy & planning, participate in relevant local, regional, and international team interactions
  • Support of the preparation of the scientific and economic dossiers for submission, help prepare, and execute pricing discussions, identify, and build appropriate relationships with stakeholders
  • Being responsible for the preparation of all local payer related materials needed for Market Access success
  • Drive local data generation to fill payer evidence gaps, liaise closely with International Value & Access, Medical Affairs and other functions as needed to ensure alignment to strategy and other initiatives for data generation
  • Preparing for reimbursement negotiations; support creation of the framework and optimal access agreement with all negotiation steps carefully planned
  • Be a key player for Government Affairs and ensure local cross functional work with, patient advocacy, medical, commercial, and other departments to condition the market for the arrival of new and innovative therapies for rare and ultra-rare diseases
  • When necessary, support and align with Market Access colleagues within the Central & Northern Europe area (CENE)
  • Collaboration and support of cross functional colleagues (commercial and medical) in the field as part of the key account management
  • Collaborate with local AstraZeneca market access colleagues where meaningful
  • Office & field presence 50/50

You will need to have

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Nordics Market Access role
  • Experience in direct interaction with local payers and other relevant stakeholders in the Nordics
  • Strong network in the external stakeholder field in at least one or two Nordic markets
  • Excellent communicator and experienced in building relationships
  • High level of compliance and integrity
  • Formulating and implementing effective and successful payer related strategies
  • Budget management experience
  • Effectively working with and driving cross functional teams
  • Fluent in English and one Nordic language (FI, NO, SE or DK)

The position could be located either in Denmark or Sweden.

We would prefer for you to have

  • University level: Science or economics related field is preferred
  • Experience in the rare disease area strongly desired
  • Experience in launching a new therapeutic area desirable
  • Experience in working in a dynamic, lean environment is strongly preferred
  • Additional Nordic language skill is a plus
