Immunology is a focus area for AstraZeneca with exciting career opportunities. To achieve our ambition, we are currently recruiting a Nordic Brand Manager within our Rheumatology Franchise who will play an important role in the launch of a new treatment for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) across all Nordic markets. This role can be located in Denmark or Norway. 

 About systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) 

SLE is a chronic, rheumatic and autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks its own organs, causing inflammation and tissue damage. Several organs can be affected such as joints, muscles, skin, central nervous system, lungs, kidneys and blood vessels. SLE is a heterogeneous disease with few treatment options available today, however the treatment landscape is evolving, with new agents expecting approval in the next few years with the potential to bring high medical value to patients. 

The role 

As Nordic Brand Manager, you will join the Nordic Rheumatology Franchise team, primarily responsible for new product and indication launches within SLE in the Nordics. Your understanding of the market access situation is a key driver for successful launch. You will develop and implement the brand/franchise strategy based on insights into key partners’ needs & perceptions. 

 What you will do 

  • Support the launch and brand planning in collaboration with cross-functional colleagues & teams and ensure our strategy is built on robust and impactful insights 
  • Develop & implement Nordic and local communication campaigns and materials based on Global proposals and Nordic prioritizations, in partnership with external agencies 
  • Drive patient support projects and initiatives, based on strategies for the brand
  • Develop multi-channel approach to ensure effective implementation of engagement and communication strategies 
  • Work closely with country field team to gain customer insights and analyze performance data and market research to gain further insights to drive strategic and implementation activities 
  • Lead and plan internal events including training of customer facing teams on marketing strategy and materials 
  • Develop and drive projects with Patient Associations, policy stakeholders and PR 
  • Ensure tasks are of accurate quality and in accordance with written procedures, current legal and compliance requirements and internal standards

We are looking for you who holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing/Finance/ Science or Pharmacy. Experience within rheumatology is meriting but experience from other immunology areas such as gastroenterology, respiratory, MS and cardiovascular is also an advantage. 

Essential requirements 

  • 3+ years of pharma marketing and sales experience in a local country or Nordic role 
  • Experience of Brand Management and Strategic Business planning 
  • Validated strong sense for strategic planning and execution including omni-channel communication 
  • Commercial innovation mindset with an ability and track-record of developing, shaping and executing impactful partner focused activities 
  • Confirmed project leading skills and ability to coordinate, align and engage cross-functional team to drive activities 
  • Proven track record of critical thinking, judgment and generating value 
  • A strong patient-centric mentality 
  • Strong collaboration and mutual partnership capabilities 
  • Strong personal drive and results oriented 
  • Good knowledge in Nordic market ethical rules as well as of local healthcare & payor systems 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, be fluent in both written and spoken Danish or Norwegian as well as proficient in English
