About the role:
Chiesi is expanding its commercial operations and market access team. As the Nordic Value and Access Director, you will coordinate the development and execution of strategies across this complex region. In this position you will collaborate with colleagues in global organisations to translate global product access strategies into specific operational tactics that are most effective at a country and regional level.
In this role, you are responsible for leading the Nordic Value and Access team and for the Nordic access strategy and activities linked to pricing & reimbursement as well as tender for marketed and pipeline products.
You will work closely together with other Nordic functions, and also spend time interacting with key external stakeholders (e.g. authorities, payers and clinical experts).
The Nordic Value and Access Director reports directly to the Managing Director for Nordics.
The position currently has one Market Access Manger as direct report. There is a is a strategic priority to further build the function including additional headcounts.
Main fields of responsibility
- Access: Gain & maintain access and reimbursement to help deliver Chiesi’s near-term success as well as develop effective access strategies for pipeline products to support the company’s future success.
- Evidence: Lead the development of health economic evidence generation strategies to demonstrate the value Chiesi brings to patients, providers and health systems. Liaise with medical function to obtain medical evidence that support the value story.
- Pricing & Contracting: Lead the development & execution of innovative pricing and contracting strategies to deliver value to customers.
- Tender Management: Support business units with advice to make sure there will be an optimal process for management internally.
You hold a University degree in medicine, pharmacy, business administration or other relevant fields and are an engaging leader, either demonstrated via proven formal leadership or via showcased potential from cross-functional leadership.
You have an in-depth knowledge of the Nordic market access landscape and combines this with an understanding of business priorities as well as payer needs. You have analytical and strategic abilities and an innovative mindset, possess strong influential skills and the ability to establish buy-in and engagement among your team and cross-functional co-workers. Furthermore, you have the capability to network, build strong and credible relationships and build alliances among market access and payer stakeholders.
You have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and are fluent in English (oral and written) plus one of the Scandinavian languages.
You are a self-starter and self-leader, who is strong in delivery and are also able to priorities wisely and to delegate when appropriate.

For the position as Nordic Value and Access Director, you can be based ether at the Chiesi Nordic head office in central Stockholm or anywhere in the Nordics with close proximity to a major airport and/or railway station. The position involves travelling in the Nordics as well as globally, plus regular work at the Stockholm office. Approximate number of overnight travel days is 30, plus monthly visits to the Stockholm office, if you are not based there.
