About the role
As Business Unit Director Primary Care you will report directly to the General Manager. You will lead the sales and marketing department dedicated to the Primary Care product portfolio and coordinate the implementation and execution of strategies, activities and projects as derived from the company´s international brand plans.
Your team consists of 28 people, including 6 direct reports.
Your main responsibility is to increase Chiesi´s revenues and market share of the Respiratory Portfolio. You will do this through effective management of a team of marketing and field force personnel by leading, motivating and developing them in the best possible manner.
You will ensure that expenditure is managed in accordance with agreed budgets; and when necessary produce robust business cases to justify the return on investment from the use of expenditure.
As part of the Nordic leadership team you will contribute to strategic discussions and marketing planning processes to enhance the effectiveness of the company´s strategies. In this work you will cooperate closely with all relevant company departments to ensure the efficient functioning of the team.
Education and Experiences
You have a university degree and life science background with at least 8-10 years commercial experience plus preferably excellent knowledge of primary care products and (respiratory) chronic disease areas. Solid project management skills and experience is essential for effective execution of plans. You have experience from the introduction of new brands within primary care and strong experience and proven track record in sales- and marketing management. You demonstrate understanding of the NHS /healthcare environment compliance and regulatory environment in the Nordics is solid. You have a track record form managing a regional budget and maximizing results from spend as well as leading strategic discussions/marketing planning processes to enhance the effectiveness of implementation of corporate strategies.
In short you are e great people and team leader. You have excellent interpersonal, listening and communications skills, including negotiation and presentation skills. Ability of effectively coaching, empowering and developing the team to maximise individual(s) potential in line with the aims of the business and/or individual job role. A track record of building and leading teams with high level of trust and transparency as well as an ability to effectively coach teams made up of varying skills, ability and knowledge and generally strong line management and performance management skills.
You demonstrate a high level of accountability, self-motivation and an entrepreneurial mindset with a demonstrated ability to build and lead business unit trough productive internal collaborations. You are a team player with the ability to work with several disciplines in a multicultural environment. You can lead others to solve complex problem and takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
You show high flexibility and an ability to manage complexity including working in a matrix organization under sometimes stressful conditions. You combine good analytical and tactical skills with excellent verbal and written skills inEnglish. Knowledge in a Nordic language is seen as an advantage. You have a driving license.
The position as Business Unit Director Primary Care Nordics can be based either at the Chiesi Nordic head office in central Stockholm or elsewere in the Nordic region at a location with good public transportation. The position involves regular travelling in the Nordics as well as internationally, more so if you do not live in the Stockholm region.
