The Nordic-Baltic (NOBA) Marketing Company (MC) employs around 450 people across 7 countries and has offices located in Södertälje, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo, Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius. By 2025 AstraZeneca NOBA aims to become a recognized leader in its core therapy areas and thus improve the lives of millions of people. This will be achieved by driving excellent launches, building close collaboration and partnerships with stakeholders in health care systems, and developing high performing teams.
As Primary Care Director you will be a core member of the Respiratory & Diabetes Leadership teams. You will be responsible leading the AZ primary care organization in Sweden to ensure strong performance of our primary care portfolio of medicines and to secure regional access for AZ existing and future primary care medicines.
You will be leading a newly formed team of Regional Account Managers and a Key Account Manager team through the Primary Care Sales Manager. As a Senior Leader, your leadership fosters excellent collaboration and information flow through the Swedish and Nordic organizations.
In this role you are responsible for developing a regional market access strategy in collaboration with the national market access team (Market Access & Pricing) and are also responsible for regional implementation.
You are responsible for analyzing and driving performance and implementation (via operational plan and account plans) in accordance with the brand strategy, as well are accountable for achieving regional recommendation targets, activity cost targets and activity levels (KPIs).
Additionally, the Primary Care Director will oversee the development and implementation of the omni-channel strategy with the regions to deliver customer and patient value.
Frequent travel to drive regional performance, HCP interactions, individual coaching of Regional Account Managers and Primary Care Team Lead are part of this role. This role will be based out of the Södertälje office.
Set the regional market access strategy, deliver sales targets and implement tactical plans
Development of regional market access strategy, in collaboration with national market access team (MA&P), and regional implementation. Work closely with national market access team on tendering, pricing and national guideline strategies.
Evaluate the regional RAM plans to ensure regional access through DFCs listings
Accountable for implementing DFC listings through the Primary Care Sales Team
Analyze the development and trends in the Swedish regions and utilize insights to shape and influence national adaptation of the Nordic brand strategies
Ensure up to date knowledge on the development of the health policy development related to primary care on a regional and national level
Drive cross functional, cross-regional collaboration
Ensure customer insights are brought into the brand teams through collaboration with market access & pricing Sweden, medical and other relevant teams
Proactively anticipate and address obstacles that may impede results, e.g., identify and communicate insights related to products / stakeholders and inform relevant AZ teams
Co-riding to key customers and coordinate AZ activities together with RAM and Primary Care Sales Manager
Lead the RAMs and the Primary Care Sales Manager
Coaching RAMs on negotiation skills and business acumen, planning and execution of regional access activities and on individual development
HR activities, including recruitment and RPM and talent management
Talent development including succession planning
Corporate governance and Compliance of Pharma code/AZ values
Assure tasks are of correct quality and in accordance with written procedures and current legal requirements and internal standards
Accountable for the team’s and individuals’ level of competence being right as well as their compliance to current legal requirements and internal standards
