Clinical Biostatistician 

 

Are you ready to challenge yourself in a new environment and have a real impact? Mölnlycke is now looking for a Clinical Biostatistican to join the global Clinical Data Science & Statistics team. You be part of cross functional teams and deliver biostatistician parts in projects within the Medical & Economic Affairs Department. You will contribute to and deliver statistical decisions as well as considerations related to aspects of clinical activities such as clinical Investigation Plans, registry studies and surveys. Your responsibilities will include to be accountable for the statistical activities within assigned clinical evidence generating activities, be responsible for the wider utilization of existing clinical data and analytics from a statistical perspective and be accountable for development and maintenance of a validated platform for statistical analysis. This is an exciting possibility to work and develop in a global role and be part of cross functional team with the opportunity to implement your ideas and solutions within biostatistics. 

 

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Contribute to Mölnlycke’s strong drive to be on the cutting edge of data science in line with the company’s objectives
  • Responsible for providing the right input around statistics for clinical activities e.g study design and protocol development, statistical analysis plan (SAP), statistical analysis report (SAR), sample size analysis etc
  • Proactively, together with relevant stakeholders, identify new way of analysing and using clinical data, to meet business and regulatory needs
  • Responsible for the creation of relevant statistical resource for a clinical activity, internal resource or external.
  • Responsible to provide relevant services within statistics and be the point-of-contact for assigned activities
  • Effectively communicate with clinical operations, medical affairs, health economic, marketing and IT teams
  • Educate and share knowledge on statistical analysis

 

What you’ll need

  • Relevant medical/scientific/computer education on MSc level or equivalent
  • 3+ years biostatistics (and data management) experience within the clinical research area (MedTech, Pharma or from a CRO)
  • Solid training in clinical research methodology and in biostatistics
  • Knowledgeable in statistics for clinical studies and statistical programming
  • Experience with statistical data analysis software
  • Experience of working with clinical data, databases, project management and working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English

You have good networking and organizational skills as well as an entrepreneurial sense of ownership and execution. You have a systematic and analytical approach and the ability to understand and analyze complex matters and make rational judgments and clear priorities. You are curious, an eager learner and you have an entrepreneurial mindset. You enjoy being in a context where you can share your expertise and make a real impact. You can either work from our HQ in Gothenburg or remotely if you are located elsewhere.

Your work-life balance

We have a flexible work from home policy. This is a full-time position with limited travelling. However, the role requires that you will have the possibility to travel on occasion to Mölnlycke HQ if based elsewhere in Europe.
